According to Decree 100/2019/ND-CP (amended by Decree 123/2021/ND-CP), installing additional auxiliary lights not according to the manufacturer's design or causing glare to others is strictly punished. For cars, the fine ranges from 1,000,000 VND to 2,000,000 VND, along with the suspension of Driving Licenses for 1-3 months. For motorcycles, the fine ranges from 100,000 VND to 200,000 VND. Additionally, vehicle owners must remove the violating equipment and restore the original condition of the vehicle.
Based on Point a, Clause 3, Article 16 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP, operating a vehicle with additional lights installed at the front, rear, roof, undercarriage, or sides is a violation of regulations on vehicle conditions for traffic participation.
