Pursuant to the provisions of the Social Insurance Law 2024 (effective from July 1, 2025), the maximum duration of the sickness regime when taking leave to care for a sick child under 03 years old is 20 working days per year for each child. This duration excludes public holidays, New Year holidays, and weekly rest days as prescribed. In cases where both parents participate in social insurance, each parent is entitled to the period of leave as prescribed.
Strengthening benefits for workers with young children is an important step in the new social security policy, helping parents feel more secure in caring for children in their early years.
